// Install
Connect DeskBridge to HubSpot
Installing takes two parts: approve the app in HubSpot (a minute), then install the agent on your QuickBooks computer (guided by the setup wizard you land on). It's free to set up. You start the subscription once your first sync has landed in HubSpot.
Before you click
- You're signed in to your own company's HubSpot portal as a Super Admin, or as a user with permission to install apps. Install it from your portal yourself: don't give an outside consultant a seat to do it for you.
- You can reach the QuickBooks computer (in person or by remote desktop) with Windows admin rights and the QuickBooks Admin login.
- QuickBooks Desktop 2019 or newer (Enterprise, Premier or Pro), one company file, not multi-currency.
- .NET Framework 4.8 on that computer (already there on Windows 10 and 11, and on current Windows Server).
Want someone to walk you through it? Founding customers get a guided install on a
screen-share. Email [email protected]
and pick a time. You keep control of every screen the whole time.
You'll see HubSpot's standard approval screen listing the access below. After you approve, you land in the DeskBridge setup wizard.
What access DeskBridge asks for, and why
It asks only for what the sync writes. It doesn't touch marketing email, tickets, files, users or settings.
| Scope | Why |
|---|---|
oauth | Standard sign-in scope every HubSpot app needs. |
crm.objects.companies.read | Find an existing company before creating one, so QuickBooks customers don't duplicate it. |
crm.objects.companies.write | Create and update companies from QuickBooks customers. |
crm.objects.contacts.read | Find an existing contact by email before creating one. |
crm.objects.contacts.write | Create and update the primary contact for each customer. |
crm.objects.deals.read | Find the deal already created for an invoice. |
crm.objects.deals.write | Create and update one deal per QuickBooks invoice. |
crm.objects.line_items.read | Read invoice line items already on a deal. |
crm.objects.line_items.write | Write invoice lines as line items on the deal. |
crm.objects.products.read | Find the product already created for a QuickBooks item. |
crm.objects.products.write | Create and update products from QuickBooks items. |
crm.schemas.companies.write | Add the QuickBooks fields (list ID, balance, terms…) to companies. |
crm.schemas.contacts.write | Add the QuickBooks fields to contacts. |
crm.schemas.deals.write | Add the QuickBooks fields to deals and create the "QuickBooks Invoices" pipeline. |
What happens next
- HubSpot is prepared automatically. DeskBridge adds its
qbd_*fields to companies, contacts and deals, and creates the QuickBooks Invoices pipeline. - Install the agent. The wizard gives you a download and a one-line PowerShell command with a single-use token.
- Add the
.qwcfile to QuickBooks Web Connector and approve access once. - Choose what to sync, then run the baseline. Large company files take several Web Connector runs.
- Subscribe from the pricing page once you've seen your data in HubSpot.
Step-by-step detail for each prompt, plus troubleshooting, is in the setup guide.
